Adun Okupe CA PhD, has over ten years’ research and advisory experience in Infrastructure, tourism and sustainable development projects.
She joined W Hospitality Group in 2012, and her role has covered work on development advisory services, particularly strategy and feasibility studies for hotels and mixed-use development projects in Sub-Saharan Africa. More recently, she has been involved with the creation of the human capital development services division, which equips managers in the hospitality and tourism industry with the requisite strategic leadership and management skills for running successful organizations.
She regularly contributes to industry magazines and speaks on tourism and hospitality in Africa at international conferences and summits.
Adun holds a PhD in Tourism Leadership from the University of Surrey, looking at strategic leadership in dynamic organizations. Her Masters in Globalization and Development Studies is from the School of Oriental and African Studies (SOAS, University of London), and she has a first class Business Economics degree from the University of Keele.
Adun is a member of The Institute of Chartered Accountants of Scotland and a fellow of The Higher Education Academy. She has worked with the Lagos Business School (Pan Atlantic University), the University of Edinburgh, The World Travel & Tourism Council (WTTC) and KPMG, London.
